Chee's day - from the other camera

Like it says on top =) Happy 20th birthday Chee! Hope you liked the presents and hope you had fun =)My souvenir from Maddy, giant specs from china! Everyone gets a go on it, and i'm not the only one it looks natural on can!
And this bugger was found floating in Maddy's drink, in exactly the position you see it. On that slice of lemon and everything. The nerve of the guy, dying in her drink and all! Here's Chee finally getting to nose around the bag. She was trying to sneak peeks in all and any bags we were carrying, but we just wanted to prolong the suspense, lol. And of course to wait for Chan, hahaha, but in the end we had nothing to do, so decided to just give it to her first.Maddy made a slight mistake here though:
Chan comes!
We took like a million shots trying to get everyone in the picture, and we only get half of chee =pAnd that's it!

Cute stuff

Liane bought these from HongKong! Chocolate band-aids and marshmallow pads, lol. The packaging is ultra realistic!
You can see the gauze bit in the chocolate! They even tried to make the brand name sound similar!! Sofy! The inside isn't as fantastic though, just 4 pieces of marshmallows, didn't try to make it look like a pad. I'll be super impressed if they did man, can unfold lol.And lastly, the full set of paper clips =D

Crazy Man

Anytime you need a good laugh...

Chee's Day

Hey folks, here are the pictures, as promised. I've been trapped at home, nursing my crazy illness (it began disguised as an innocent sorethroat, then escalated into a fever/headache, evolved into a flu-like coughing and sniffing, and today it climaxed into a frantic coughing-my-guts out kind of thing). Finally found some time to upload these photos. Blogger needs to invent a facebook-style photo uploader, it would make things alot easier for me.

Yue Guang Xia De Feng Wei Zhu

This is my official China song. The song that plays every time I step out of our daligucheng hotel. The song that plays as I saunter down the colourful streets of daligucheng. The song that plays in every single hulu/cd store we pass.

Lots and lots of memories attached to this song. Haha.

The Tooth Fairy's Stash

Yep, your eyes ain't lying, those are boxes full of teeth, all neatly sterilised and categorised. It's my collection of real teeth for next year's practicals.

So there i was, boiling teeth in a solution of conc. sodium hydroxide. It felt really weird standing there at the stove and stirring the pot of teeth, waiting for it to come to a rolling boil. Lucky my grandma and maid aren't squeamish people. But let me tell you, the stuff smells pretty bad, especially infused with that streak of dettol, which was used to soak the teeth in when i left the jars at clinics for collection. The teeth still smell now. But that's not the worst part! The worst part was when ms han told us that we weren't really sterilising the teeth, we were actually trying to dislodge any skin/blood/flesh off the teeth which normal boiling couldn't do. Horrifying!!! She told us to watch for bits floating up, urrghhh. Thankfully that didn't happen, the solution just became very yucky and mucky à la mike rowe.

Anyway, just very thankful that i have super nice seniors who passed down this collection of really nicely sorted and odourless teeth AND half a bottle of unsterilised teeth. I only had to boil the ones you see in the ziplock bag, which unfortunately are the ones that smell =( In fact, he passed me so many teeth that i don't think i actually needed to collect any, other than to make up for those that i use of course. So maybe if i don't use up too many, i won't have to collect more or even sort mine out and can just pass them down...
